Singer Lunch has finally released her first full-length album titled Goodnight Again. The Korean title is Unuri Panduanyong, seven years after her debut, and it dropped on the 29th at 6 in the evening. The title track, Goodnight Again, You're My Story, has a truly special backstory, because Lunch first performed this self-written song for guests at her own wedding to composer An Song Hyun back in August. Just about two months later, that wedding song has become the opening track and the title song of her debut album, and the music video even features her singing it at the ceremony, which is sure to tug at your heartstrings. The word An Yong also carries meaning here, since her first single under the name Lunch was Goodbye Memory, where the word meant saying farewell to the past, while this time it's a greeting to the person beside her. The album includes eight songs in total, with Lunch credited on every track, and Anzong Hyun worked on the composition and arrangement of five of them, showing he's a partner in both her life and her music.

NCT Dream is getting ready to bring the party with a groovy disco comeback. The group will release its sixth full album, Dream After Dream, on November 9th at 6 in the evening Korean time, featuring 10 tracks in total. The title track, Boogie Woogie, is an upbeat dance song that blends the vintage feel of 1970s disco funk with modern synthesizer sounds. Gemin helped write the lyrics, which celebrate the past 10 years the members have run together, thank fans for making ordinary days special, and look ahead to a bright future. Teaser content released on October 29th shows the members as gardeners tending crops in a lush garden, a symbol of the decade they have grown together. And the group will also continue its world tour with shows at Saitama Super Arena in Japan on November 14th and 15th.

Rapper and actor Swings, whose real name is Munji Hun, has signed an exclusive contract with the talent agency Ace Factory, signalling a more serious push into acting. The agency said he has built a strong presence and expressive range through his music career, and has recently expanded into acting, adding that they deeply connected with his charm and abilities as an actor. Swings made his big screen debut as Abraham in the film Taza, the song of Beelzebub, where he left a powerful impression in a short appearance with tattoo makeup covering half his face. Last week, he also tried his hand at historical drama in the short series Quangan, the Crown Prince's Woman, playing Namhou, the Prince's friend and bodyguard. With this move, Swings joins an impressive roster at Ace Factory that includes Li Junhyok, Li Jong Shok, Yom He Ran, and Yu Jemyong, so fans can look forward to seeing more of him on screen.

The 2026 Mama Awards just revealed its wildest lineup concept yet, called A Music Interstellar, and it is all about breaking the borders of time and space. Hosts at the Media Day announced that the veteran duo Panic, who debuted in 1995 and are marking 31 years, will share the stage with younger stars from groups like Cordis, Zero Bass One, and Hearts Two Hearts, while Big Bang, celebrating their 20th anniversary, will perform alongside the beloved cartoon dinosaur Dooley. The show also welcomes the renowned charcoal artist Ibe for a blend of contemporary art and music, plus a special stage pairing and hyphen with the film Dune Part 3. Actor Pakbogum steps in as the first official ambassador and storyteller, linking two nights of performances into one story. And fans in Osaka can enjoy a first ever citywide festival starting November 9th. The awards take place November 20th and 21st at Kyosera Dom Osaka, streaming live worldwide.

Some news for Eyelit fans. Members Won He and Iroha are dealing with ankle injuries picked up during recent schedules, and they are currently recovering with treatment. Their agency, Beelft Lab, shared that the two will adjust their movements and choreography for today's performance at the Yonsei University Festival based on their condition and the stage setup. The company asked fans waiting for the show to be understanding and promised to do its best to support the members' recovery. This comes just days after the group released its fifth mini album, Break Even, on the 26th. The title track, Not Cute Anymore, is an electro pop song that warns someone whose habitual kindness keeps causing misunderstandings.

Here's one for fans of experimental performance. The audiovisual group Tacit Group is bringing its new show, Frank and Tacit, to Seoul for its Korean premiere on October 31st at 7 in the evening at Tillaground in Mapo District. The work already made its world premiere at the LEV Festival in Spain this April, followed by a stage at the Electra Festival in Montreal, Canada in June. What makes it so unusual is that there's only one human performer on stage, but three players actually making the music, since two AI performers named Left and Right chat with, compete against, and respond to the human in real time to shape sound and visuals. Left represents the group's logical, system-building side, while right stands for its spontaneous, rule-breaking instincts. And even though the creators design them, they don't always behave as expected. The program features three pieces, including a live coding performance and a Tetris game where every move becomes music, all inspired by Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and the tricky relationship between creators and the intelligence they try to control.

Big honors are rolling in for Korean pop culture as the government hands out its top awards at the 2026 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards, now in its 17th year at the National Theater in Seul. 36 individuals and teams are being recognized, and the late rock legend Shien Hitur will receive the Unwan Order of Cultural Merit posthumously for helping bring Korean rock music to the mainstream. Variety star Yu Jesok, who has been on television for more than 30 years, and singer Hanyongge, celebrating her 50th anniversary since debut, will each receive the Puan Order, while all four members of Blackpink, Rose, Lisa, Jenny, and Jisoo, are getting the U Quan Order. Presidential citations go to names like actors Yu He Jin, Rusung Yung, and Su Ji Soop, along with director Tang Hang Jun and the veteran band Puhai. And Prime Minister citations include actor Kim Gooon and the sibling duo AKMU. According to industry reports, Culture Minister Chuyong praised this year's winners for walking alongside the public for so long and promised continued support for the artists behind Korea's popular culture.

Then has revealed the cast for its new original series, Obedient Killer, a noir action drama arriving next year. Kim Dami stars as Koo Daevun, a woman whose only life goal was to be a devoted wife, until a divorce pushes her into the world of assassins, where she joins a killer crew called the Ugly Trio to win back her young daughter. She's joined by Chubua as Miss Lee, the perfectionist leader and ace of the group, and Cho Aram as Miss Kyo, the lively troublemaker known as the Fighting Rooster. Kim Chew makes a special appearance as the mysterious, gentlemanly manager Cha, while Nam Yunsu plays a rookie detective who stirs up fresh tension among the suspicious killers. Behind the camera is director Lee Chong Hom of Hello Ghost Fame, with writer Chu Huami of I'm Not a Hero, and Kang Unkyong of Kyongsong Creature also joins as a creator, so the production team is just as exciting as the cast.

Two members of ITs, Hong Jung and Wu Yang, will miss today's filming of the JTBC variety show Knowing Bros due to health reasons. Their agency, KQ Entertainment, explained that the group was originally set to appear as a full ensemble, but the two members could not take part, and the company put their recovery first. Both are reportedly getting plenty of rest, and the agency asked fans to be understanding while promising to do its best to help them bounce back quickly. On the music side, ITs is gearing up to release its 15th mini album, Golden Hour Part 6, on November 13th at 2 in the afternoon, Korea time. The album holds five tracks, led by the title song Up, and it follows the pre-release single Drip, which earned praise for its confident sound and powerful choreography. And the group also recently won over American audiences with a strong live performance on the Jennifer Hudson Show.

Singer-songwriter Luca Minor is stepping up as the third OST artist for the hit drama 100 Days of Lies, which is part of TVN's 20th anniversary special lineup and airs on weekends. According to industry reports, the track Same Old Heart will be released on Friday, October 31st at 6 p.m. Korean time on major music platforms. The song carries a warm, heartfelt message about staying faithfully by a loved one's side, offering quiet comfort to anyone going through a tough moment. Luca Minor, who previously lent a smooth jazz touch to the OST for the dating show Transit Love 3, shows off that same free-spirited, romantic voice here. Paired with a guitar-driven band sound, the gentle vocals are expected to add real emotional depth to the characters' stories.

JYP Entertainment is pushing back hard against claims that a Japanese-backed investment group gave it advance notice of a takeover bid. The group, called Nexrock, says it emailed JYP on the 21st to outline its negotiation plans, but JYP says that message was flagged as flagrant spam by its security system and blocked before it ever arrived, according to its mail service provider. The company also stressed that it has never received or reviewed an official valid proposal, repeating what it said in a disclosure on October 27th. Earlier, Nexrock and a partner called SVCV announced they were considering a public tender offer for 25 to 50% of JYP's shares, with a target start date of November 20th and a price about 30% above the reference share price. Industry reports add that Korea's financial regulator says it has had no contact with Nexrock and is closely watching for possible unfair trading since JYP's stock price jumped after that announcement.

According to the latest Oricon data, the album ranked third on the daily album chart as of October 27th, while the title track, Arrest Me, landed at number 8 on the daily digital singles chart. The song is also making waves globally, entering Spotify's daily global top songs at number 141 and Apple Music's Global Top 100 at number 67. Back home, Arrest Me debuted on Mellon's Top 100 at number 72 and then rose to number 7 by October 28th. The music video has passed 10 million views on YouTube, and the group is set to perform on Music Bank this Thursday, October 30th.

In a big legal update, Adore has won again in its appeal against the video production company Dolphin Kidnappers, with the Seoul High Court ordering the company to pay a penalty of 1 billion won over the unauthorized upload of the director's cut of New Gene's ETA music video. The court said that even if former Adore CEO Bin Yiddin had given verbal approval, as the defence claimed, the company still broke its contract by posting the video without written consent and without removing Apple-related elements. While the final amount matched the first ruling, the reasoning changed. The lower court had assumed a 4 billion won penalty, but the appeals court said the penalty clause is valid only up to about one quarter of that, with the rest void for violating public order and good morals. The dispute began in August 2024 when director Shinus Hog, who produced many New Jeans music videos, uploaded the cut to his own channel, and it escalated into lawsuits after Adore demanded its removal. Industry reports also note that prosecutors dismissed a related criminal complaint filed by dolphin kidnappers against Adore last July.

Big news for movie fans in Korea! June Part 3, directed by Denis Villeneuve, will open in Korean theatres on December 16th, making Korea the very first country in the world to see it. Warner Brothers Korea made the announcement on the 29th and released a main poster showing Paul, played by Timothy Chalamet, walking alone across a vast desert, hinting at the deep inner struggle of a man who has become emperor. A final trailer also dropped, set 19 years after the previous film, with Paul as an absolute ruler facing off against the Fremen warrior Charney, played by Zendaya. New faces include Jason Momoa as the returning clone Hate, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Anya Taylor Joy as Paul's sister Alia, and Robert Pattinson as SkyTale, a figure threatening the empire. With massive desert battle scenes, crashing fighter craft, and roaring sandstorms, the trailer promises the kind of stunning visuals fans have been waiting for.

Here's a surprising chart story. An AI artist called Mumuro is making waves on Korean music charts. Its ballad, Did You Become the Adult You Dreamed of Being, climbed to number two on Mellon's top 100 as of the morning of October 29th, after first surging back up the charts in September. The song took off through word of mouth on social media and became a popular background track for short form videos, and it has even hit number one on real-time charts at other streaming platforms. It was created with the AI music generator Suno, yet listeners say the vocals sound remarkably natural, without the robotic tone or awkward pronunciation often heard in AI music. Songwriting duo Glory Wave helped shape the track by handling the planning, lyrics, and overall production, though industry reports note the song isn't registered with the Korea Music Copyright Association, so no songwriting royalties are being generated, and the song's streaming revenue is reportedly settled separately.

Get ready, because the hit drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo is being reborn as a stage musical. News sources report that Lotte Culture Works and global musical producer Live Company are co-producing the show, built on a partnership with the original drama studio A Story, and aimed at the world market from the very start of development. The production has been selected for a major government-backed large-scale musical showcase program for 2026, and it will use orchestral music and visual effects to bring the inner world of lawyer Wu Yong-ru to life. The creative team includes writer Kang Byeong-won, composer Kim Hee-song, director Kim Teong, and stage designer O Pil Yong. The musical runs from January 16th to February 6th at the Ticket Link 1975 Theatre, with casting and ticket details still to be announced.
