SPEAKER_01Here's some exciting news for indie music fans. The band Chizoguri Club has just been named October's Artist of the Month for Mellon's indie music initiative, Track Zero. Formed back in 2022, this five-member group made up of vocalist Chung Ji-seo, bassist Kim Hong-bi, keyboardist Pa Gunbin, guitarist Shinze Hun, and drummer Mun Zhong Han quickly made waves, even winning EBS's Hello Rookie Grand Prize just six months after debuting. The band describes their sound as effortlessly natural, with their own self-coined genre called Fishing Pop, inspired by their shared love of fishing and camping. Last month, Chizoguri Club returned with their first full-length album titled Kulan, named after a Thai travel destination that inspired deep conversations about their musical direction, and what started as a four-track plan ended up blossoming into a nine-song record packed with everything the members wanted to try.
SPEAKER_00Known for his deep, cave-like baritone voice, singer Ru Zhi Guang is back with a brand new folk rock track called The Boxer, released today across all major music platforms. The song tells a universal story about getting knocked down by life again and again, yet always finding the strength to rise back up, delivered through a stripped down band sound built around analog instruments that really lets his warm, rugged vocals shine through. Singer-songwriter Li Dongun, who wrote the track, shared that everyone experiences moments where they feel like they have lost everything. And she hopes this song can offer comfort and courage to anyone going through a tough time. Ru Zhi Guang first captured Hearts back in 2020 with his unforgettable low register on the hit audition show Mr. Trott, and he has kept busy ever since with performances across the country and recent appearances on shows like National Singing Contest. With The Boxer, fans can expect a fresh, more heartfelt side of the artist, as his signature voice becomes an anthem of encouragement for anyone fighting their way through life's toughest rounds.

SPEAKER_01According to industry reports, authorities who examined devices belonging to the late actress Kim Zerun found no evidence supporting claims that Kim Su-Hyon dated her as a minor, with investigators instead identifying a different celebrity, referred to as Mr. A, as the actual sender behind the disputed messages. The report details how handwriting style analysis, device forensics, and cloud storage records all pointed away from Kim Su-Hyon, while suggesting the controversial live streaming channel involved had allegedly altered the sender's identity from unknown to Kim Suyun's name. Investigators reportedly found that Kim Suan and Kim Zherun's confirmed relationship began only after she became an adult in 2019, consistent with timestamps on photos previously used as evidence against him. The broadcaster behind the original allegations is said to have earned over 160 million won through advertising and donations across more than 25 related broadcasts, adding a troubling financial dimension to a controversy that upended Kim Suan's career and public image for months.
SPEAKER_00The six-member group, made up of Hyu Te, Junzop, Cheong, Tuon, Chonghu, and Yun Song, just launched their Wiiverse community platform, giving global fans a direct line to the group right from the start. Their agency, FCEM, shared that this move is all about building closer, more active communication with fans as they ramp up debut promotions. ADAP has already been teasing fans with a debut promotion timetable, along with school uniform-themed concept photos and posters, building serious anticipation for what's coming. With a solid fan base already established through pre-debut activities in Japan, plus a group that brings both vocal talent and visual appeal, ADAP is set to drop their first mini-album and kick off official promotions on November 5th.

According to industry reports, distributor Taiwan Media confirmed the duo, along with director Fuji Michihito, will visit Seoul on October 19th ahead of the movie's local premiere. This marks Hirose Suzu's very first trip to Korea for promotional activities, and the team plans to hold a variety of official events where they'll get the chance to interact directly with fans and share stories behind the film. Based on the beloved Japanese novel of the same name, the movie follows two childhood sweethearts navigating love and difficult choices over 15 years, and it's already generating major buzz after screening at the Pusan International Film Festival and selling out tickets the moment pre-sales opened. Seven young artist groups will blur the lines between traditional Korean music, rock, and electronic sound, kicking off with director Ijihi's Narehi Project leading a participatory street performance where anyone can join the procession to shake off bad luck and welcome good fortune. The lineup gets even more exciting with acts like Chomungo and Sewang Trio Pakbeksu, rising folk singer I Te Hun blending traditional Mino with modern style, and Tambinai leader Iiru pushing boundaries with experimental modular synthesizer performances. Day two brings the Kayagam and electronic beat duo Novasya, followed by a grand finale from three-piece band 64 Xana, who've already wowed international crowds at SXSW Sydney and Thailand's Wonder Fruit Festival with their electrifying mix of shamanic rhythms and dance music. SPEAKER_01This is the group's first all Latin original track, blending sultry reggaeton rhythms with pulsing EDM energy, all sung in Spanish as a special gift to their global fandom, Thenju. Let's take a listen to a preview.
SPEAKER_00Appearing in a black lace blouse and dress pants instead of prison garb, she stood before the Seoul Central District Court as her family watched from the gallery. According to prosecutors, Cha is accused of defrauding entertainment tech company Normus out of over 5.5 billion won each in two separate deals involving Tamin's concert and merchandise contracts, along with additional charges tied to Chembekshi merchandise deals and Fromis 9 platform business worth more than 13 billion won combined. She's also facing a separate complaint from an acquaintance who claims he was never repaid a 5.4 billion won deposit tied to a housing lease promise, though her legal team argues the villa in question could still cover the debt. Cha has been held at Seoul Detention Center since August, after the court cited concerns over possible evidence tampering, and her next hearing is set for November 3rd, as the case continues to cast a shadow over 100, the agency behind stars like Chembekshi, Y Songgy, and the Boys.
SPEAKER_01Parkwu Jin is making a powerful solo return with his new mini album Solstice, marking his first comeback in one year and five months. The title track Stamina showcases his signature deep, powerful rapping style set against an intense tech house beat, with Park explaining he wanted to deliver a performance so strong it could practically break the stage. What makes this album special is that all four tracks spam completely different genres, from tech house to dance pop, RB, and even rock, showing just how much range Park wanted to display as a solo artist. He revealed that some tracks were so demanding he had to re-record them entirely, pushing himself to find new depths in his artistry and even tackling tricky whispered rap sections he wrote himself. This comeback holds extra meaning too, since it is the first album released under his newly established solo fandom name, and Park expressed deep gratitude to his fans for being the energy source behind his title track's very name, promising to keep moving forward without stopping.

The album topped multiple weekly charts, proving its massive popularity among fans. And, given Park's track record with hits like The Witch series and New World, expectations are sky high for his signature style of intense, stylish action. Even before its domestic release, Sad Tropics has already picked up Buzz Overseas, winning a major award at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. The newly released teaser poster and trailer are stirring excitement too, opening with a chilling narration revealing that a mentor character, played by Kim Jong-min, has died, setting off a wave of suspicion and chaos among the group. SPEAKER_01Figure skating star Tajun Han is stepping away from competition, at least for now, as he shifts his focus toward a new chapter in entertainment. The 24-year-old announced on social media that after much deliberation, he's decided not to compete internationally this season, meaning he'll skip his invitations to both the Cup of China and the NHK trophy on the Grand Prix Circuit. He's also wrapped up his contract with the Seoul City team, expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his skating career. Since signing with agency Fantajo back in April, Ta has already been dipping his toes into acting and entertainment, starring in the Ice Show musical Solo Leveling on Ice, and even appearing in singer Roy Kim's music video for Sparkle. It looks like fans will be seeing a lot more of Tajunhan on screen rather than on the ice for the foreseeable future, as he takes time to carefully consider his next steps in this exciting new direction.
