A massive ticket scalping scandal is rocking the K-pop world as police arrest a man who used bot programs to snatch nearly 9,000 BTS and other top concert tickets, reselling them for up to 30 times face value and pocketing over 2.4 billion won — a case so serious that President Lee Jae-myung himself vowed to track down and return illegally earned profits. Meanwhile, CORTIS is celebrating a massive win of their own, as their mini album 'Green Green' officially crosses 4.1 million copies sold, making it a quadruple million seller and only the second K-pop album this year to hit that mark, while also landing at number three on the Billboard 200. Elsewhere, Hwasa made history as the first K-pop female solo artist to perform at Rock in Rio, earning a number two ranking from Brazilian outlet G1 behind only Elton John, and BTS notched another milestone as 'MIC Drop' surpassed 1.6 billion views on YouTube. ATEEZ's Hongjoong also teased his upcoming solo track 'Enough' featuring American artist Bahji, giving fans plenty to look forward to across the K-pop landscape.
