BTS is receiving a hero's welcome in Los Angeles as the city has officially declared September 1st through 8th as BTS Week to celebrate the group's highly anticipated world tour performances. The Septet will perform their Ar Re-Rang Tour at Sophie Stadium on September 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th, marking their return to the venue after nearly five years. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass hosted an official proclamation ceremony, stating that BTS Week honors the group's remarkable achievements and their special connection with the city. Liberante is solidifying their position as the genre's leading act after winning their second trophy of 2026 at the Brand of the Year Awards. JYP Entertainment is facing complications with their 755 billion one new headquarters project in Seoul's Gangdong district after land use issues have emerged. The company confirmed they are reviewing various response measures after Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation indicated that converting nearby land back to park use would be difficult. JYP had purchased approximately 10,000 square meters of land in the Godiok Gangil District for 755 billion won in 2023, with plans to build an integrated headquarters spanning 69,000 square meters across 17 floors above ground and five basement levels. The issue arose when adjacent land that was originally designated as parkspace was later rezoned to allow high-rise construction, potentially affecting JYP's original development plans.

Netflix has confirmed production of the new crime thriller series Madarisa, starring Nana as a cold-blooded criminal psychologist and professor who investigates unsolved murder cases. The series will feature Nana, alongside Kim Dan as Park Seal, a teaching assistant with secrets hidden behind her innocent smile who craves Teresa's attention, and Jung Gunju as prosecutor Yu Aram, Teresa's longtime friend who becomes wary of Park Seal. Directed by Jiang Young-wu of Queen of Tears fame, the series is co-written by married screenwriting duo Guan Soura and Su Je Huan, known for their work on The Guest, Bulgasal, and the Eastern Palace. A star-studded cast has been assembled for the occult mystery film Mod Up with Yu Hai Jin and Im Si Wan taking on father-son roles alongside Kim So-hyun and Li Mu Sying. Set in a remote island village during the 1960s, the film follows village chief Li Do, played by Yu Hai Jin, as he becomes entangled in mysterious events after his son Sung Gun, portrayed by Im Si Wan, defies his father's warnings and travels to the island. Kim So-hyun plays Son Okei, a woman suffering from an unknown illness, who journeys to the island seeking treatment and inadvertently draws both father and son into the unfolding mystery. Comedian Kim Shin Young is stepping away from MBC FM4U's Noon Song of Hope. After 14 years as host, announcing she will take a three-month break to focus on her health and business ventures.
