In a major milestone for K-pop's global expansion, Kat's Eye has topped the Billboard 200 chart with their third mini album, Wild, marking their first number one debut on the main album chart. The achievement is particularly historic as Billboard Reports, this represents the largest weekly sales for a female group, since the chart switched to album equivalent units in December 2015. The Multinational Girl group formed through a collaboration between Hybe and American label Geffen Records, debuted just two years ago in August 2024, and has rapidly established themselves as a dominant force in the industry. Their success demonstrates the effectiveness of K-pop's production methodology applied to global markets, with the group set to kick off the Wild World Tour in Dublin, Ireland on September 1st.

BTS continues to make waves in Canada, as Toronto officially declared August 22nd and 23rd as BTS Weekend to celebrate the group's concerts at Rogers Stadium. The city transformed its iconic Toronto sign at Nathan Phillips Square to glow purple in honor of the group's signature colour, while Young Street was renamed BTS Boulevard from North York Boulevard to Finch Avenue, remaining decorated through September 23rd. Toronto's tourism marketing organization, Destination Toronto, released a special BTS Weekend Guide to help fans explore the city, while local media outlets extensively covered the excitement surrounding the group's Ahre Rang tour stop. The city also enhanced public transportation and deployed additional staff to accommodate the massive influx of fans, demonstrating the significant economic and cultural impact of BTS's global presence.

NCT-127 returned after nearly two years with their seventh full-length album, Blingy, marking their tenth anniversary with a powerful statement of identity. The five active members, Taieong, Jeehyun, Hei Chan, Jung Wu, and Johnny confidently address the absence of Do Yung and Jung Wu during military service, with Taiong promising legendary performance that makes their teammates' absence imperceptible. The title track Blingy showcases the group's signature-intense hip-hop sound with rough textures and powerful drumbeats, deliberately chosen to reflect what fans most associate with NCT 127's identity. The album's promotional concept, titled Call 127, depicts seven jets flying in formation towards Seoul, symbolizing the members reuniting at their starting point to once again become problem solvers for their fans.

Hybe's newest girl group, Tweed, made their official debut with a refreshingly different approach, choosing not to blend seven members into one unified colour, but instead celebrating each individual's distinct personality. The multinational group, comprising Seohi, Seo-Yon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Sea, and Lee Hanui, introduced their unique musical style called Soultronic, which harmoniously combines the warm sensibility of soul music with sophisticated electronic elements. Their debut EP Tune and Play features the title track Sunkiss, which includes freestyle choreography sections that allow each member's personality to shine through, a decision that moved the members to tears when they first received the choreography. The group's name derives from Tune the Tide, representing their ambition to experience and harmonize the world's diverse flows to create new enjoyment for listeners.

During the encore, the group performed Flower Road Live for the first time and revived the unreleased track Samuel Utaum Until When, which hadn't been performed officially since 2008, bringing fans to tears. G Dragon revealed that planning this reunion was part of his strategy when he returned to solo activities last year, while the members hinted at new music and additional tour dates, with Tai Yang joking they could perform energetically until age 88.

Actor Kim Su hyun made his first public appearance in one year and five months, appearing on Indonesian television network R Sediti's 37th anniversary special broadcast Mahakarya R. Sti 37. The actor, who had suspended activities following allegations related to the late Kim Zay Ron, greeted fans warmly and performed a live rendition of Dreaming from the 2011 drama Dream High soundtrack. Director Kim Doo Young and stars Choi Min Sik and Han So-Hee emphasized at their press conference that rather than simply translating the story into Korean, they've infused it with distinctly Korean sensibilities, including generational conflicts and workplace culture. Choi Min Sik, playing a 37-year career veteran who becomes a silver intern at Han So-Hi's rapidly growing fashion company, acknowledged the pressure of the original's popularity, but stressed that their biggest differentiator is the unique chemistry between him and Han. The film, set to release on September 16th, reimagines the characters as more realistic and grounded individuals dealing with inner anxieties and loneliness, moving beyond simple comedy to tell a story firmly rooted in contemporary Korean society.

He described Yang Ji-won as someone who helped him find strength and laughter again, expressing hope that fans would warmly bless their new beginning together.

To commemorate the partnership, a special edition UNICEF Team Bracelet in Plism White will be produced and given to those who sign up for regular donations through the campaign page. The meaningful collaboration comes as Plave prepares to open their first world tour, Keep It Manic, with concerts at Inchon Munhak Stadium, Main Stadium on September 12th and 13th.
