SPEAKER_00Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_01Girl group UDT, also known as Wu Dang Tang Tang Sonyo Dan, took over NBC's show music core with the first ever performance of their refreshing follow-up track, Drift Away, from their second single album. The five-member group appeared in vibrant block core outfits that perfectly captured the song's summary vibe, creating a stark contrast to their previous dark and intense title track, Viper. Their performance showcased dreamy yet uplifting melodies paired with solid vocals and fluid choreography, delivering cool and exhilarating energy to viewers. The sporty yet sophisticated styling combined with the refreshing music created an unforgettable summer memory for fans. And UDTT is set to perform again on SBS's Inkigayo tomorrow.
SPEAKER_00Girls Generation is launching a brand new unit called HRS, featuring members Hyoyun, Yuri, and Suyung, with their official debut set for August 31st. The project originated from Hyoyun's YouTube channel, Hyo's Level Up, through a comedic fake Kim Hayoyun series, where she declared she would create a group to rival the original girls' generation unit Titus. The digital single titled Skibbity will feature a title track that blends house and hip-hop with Arabian string samples, plus a retro dance pop B-side called Loki in Love. Fans can catch the first live performance of both tracks today at the 2026 Cascul Festival in Guachan's Soul Land.
SPEAKER_01Baby Monster's Drip music video has surpassed 400 million views on YouTube, marking the group's second video to reach this milestone after Sheesh. The achievement came approximately one year and nine months after the video's release on November 1st, 2024, showcasing the rookie group's impressive staying power. The performance video for Drip has also crossed 200 million views, creating a dual-hit phenomenon that continues to drive the song's long-term success. Baby Monster's official YouTube channel now boasts over 13 million subscribers, making them the third K-pop girl group to reach this mark, with total views approaching 10 billion as they continue their second world tour tune across five continents.
SPEAKER_00Treasure is gifting fans with a surprise performance video for their mini fourth album track Danger, set to drop on August 24th at midnight as the special sixth debut anniversary present. The agency revealed that the decision to produce this unscheduled content came from a desire to give back to global fans for their ongoing support throughout the new WAV album promotions. The video was filmed on an unprecedented scale with massive sets featuring rusted electronic billboards, warning, text posters, and giant steel structures that reflect the song's raw, hard-hitting beats. This release completes the full content lineup for New WAV, which already includes two music videos, one performance video, and choreography practice footage, as the group continues their fan concert tour Treasure the Stage 2026 New WAV Leave with upcoming stops in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Kaoshung.
SPEAKER_01Katsai has achieved their highest chart positions yet with their third EP Wild, which debuted at number two on the UK official albums chart, surpassing their previous record of 55 with Beautiful Chaos. The pre-release single Animal climbed four spots to reach number 12 on the official single's top 100, setting a new personal best, while title track Fruity Fruity entered at 16 and B-side Bel Air, charte at 97. On Spotify's weekly Top Songs Global Chart for August 14th through 20th, Animal jumped five positions to land at number 10, with Fruity Fruity debuting at 18. International media outlets, including Billboard and GQ, have praised the six-track album for its bold exploration of temptation, heartbreak, and chaos, with GQ naming Katsi among 11 acts shaking up 2026 playlists.
SPEAKER_00The concept imagines the group opening a hotel for their 10th anniversary and inviting VIP guests, their fans known as Jenny's, to an exclusive party on a 360-degree open stage. The event will feature fan-requested performances selected through pre-surveys, including challenge songs that fans specifically asked to see. All tickets sold out immediately after going on sale, and the August 23rd show will be live streamed globally via Beyond Live and Webers, allowing international fans to join the celebration just days after all, seven members, Renjun Geno, Hei Chen Jemin Chinli, and Ji Sung renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment. Ten Day Min.
SPEAKER_01Gravity members Alan and Wonjin have wrapped up their four-month run as MCs on R. Ray Rung TV's music program, Simply K-pop, with their final broadcast airing on August 21st. The duo, who began hosting in April, closed out their tenure with a special stage performing their group's song Divin, bringing their journey full circle. In their farewell message, they expressed gratitude for feeling K-pop fans' passion up close, and gaining positive energy from watching numerous artists perform each week. Alan previously served as an MC on R. Ray Rang TV's K-pop talk show after school club, while Won Jin has expanded his entertainment presence through appearances on MBC's King of Masks singer and YouTube content Workdoor. Iwake Iwai E.
SPEAKER_00In Hypen has unleashed raw, unfiltered energy with the music video for Bloody Paradise, the title track from their eighth mini album, The Sin Bliss, released on August 21st. The video presents a striking visual paradox that matches the song's contradictory title, showing the members maintaining composed expressions amid chaotic scenes of scattering prisoners. Shot partially in Peru, the production features sweeping ocean vistas and vintage mise en scene with vibrant colors that amplify the track's distinctive atmosphere. The performance showcases wild, animalistic movements set to Brazilian funk rhythms, expressing the group's liberation and rebellion through explosive choreography that breaks away from their typically refined dark aesthetics.
