SPEAKER_01Today is August 13th, 2026, and we've got some incredible stories to share with you.
SPEAKER_00Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_01Kdinary Heroes is moving forward as a five-member group following the departure of leader and drummer Gunil. JYP Entertainment announced today that they have mutually agreed to terminate Gunil's exclusive contract after recognizing the seriousness of recent controversies surrounding him. The decision came after allegations surfaced online from someone claiming to be Gunil's ex-girlfriend, who posted recordings alleging he made disparaging comments about fans and expressed dissatisfaction with performances and the company. Despite the setback, the band will continue with members Jungsu, Gaoon, Odi, Junhan, and Juyun, and is scheduled to hold their third fan meeting, The X-Town, at Korea University's Huajong Gymnasium from September 18th through 20th.
SPEAKER_00Twice member Chayung is embarking on a solo journey after 14 years with JYP Entertainment. Though she'll continue group activities with Twice. In a heartfelt letter shared on social media today, Chee Yung expressed gratitude to the company, her fellow members and fans while announcing her decision to pursue her own musical vision under the name Lil Fantasy, which is also the title of her first solo full-length album. She emphasized that Twice remains her foundation and the reason for her success, promising to continue contributing to the group while developing her individual artistry. This marks another shift for Twice as the group navigates their second contract renewal period, with member Jongyan having previously announced plans to focus on acting. The concept portrays the group as resilient fighters who refuse to be shaken by trials, with the narrative exploring how star-crossed vampire lovers come to accept their escape and all itself as a blessing. The album set for worldwide release on August 21st at 1 pm will feature 10 tracks, including the title song Bloody Paradise, which was first performed at their Buzan concert on August 8th and 9th, and will present the story through an immersive format resembling a vampire society investigative documentary program.

SPEAKER_00Member Lara shared her excitement about contributing to the songwriting process for the B-side track Unlover, calling it a long-held dream, while Daniela described the title track, Hooty Fruity, as their most stamina-draining choreography yet. The group also revealed behind-the-scenes stories about collaborating with Ed Sheeran on their pre-release single Um Animal, which they performed on the show wearing leopard print outfits with gold accessories, showcasing powerful choreography and stable vocals that earned enthusiastic audience response.
SPEAKER_01The tour title references the hook from their debut song, Isna, and represents the group's confidence in their ability to capture attention instantly in any crowd. The six members, Mai, Bang Jimin, Koko, Yu Sarang, Choi Jongan, and Jong Sebi will perform at Olympic Parks Olympic Hall in Seoul on September 19th and 20th, with tickets currently available through an all-ticket. Following Seoul, the tour will continue through Taipei on October 9th, Manila on October 17th, Hong Kong on October 24th, Singapore on November 8th, and Kuala Lumpur on December 5th, with additional cities to be announced later.
SPEAKER_00NCT is celebrating their 10th brand anniversary with a special collaboration at Seoul Fashion Week that combines fashion with philanthropy. From September 4th through 6th, the group will host an NCT activity costume exhibition at Lotta World Tower, followed by a runway show on the 6th, where models will wear actual stage outfits while walking to NCT's hit songs. SPEAKER_01Christopher Nolan's Odyssey is experiencing a remarkable box office surge in South Korea, with pre-sales actually increasing in the second week compared to opening day. As of 8 a.m. on August 13th, the film had reached a pre-sale rate of 66.5% with nearly 900,000 tickets reserved, significantly higher than the 560,000 pre-sold on opening day August 5th. The film's success is attributed to strong word of mouth about Odysseus's epic homecoming journey and Nolan's signature practical effects heavy direction, combined with a strategic career-focused promotional campaign that brought the director and cast to Seoul four days before release for press conferences, red carpet events, and variety show appearances. Meanwhile, Spider-Man Brand New Day secured second place in pre-sales with 19.4% and 250,000 tickets, while OK Madam 2 took third with 3.4%.
