SPEAKER_02Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_00Shiny member YNW has addressed recent police investigations related to allegations involving an unlicensed medical practitioner known as Injection Aunt. His agency, Griffin Entertainment, confirmed that ONIW underwent questioning in May regarding visits to a clinic for skincare treatments, where he believed he was being treated by a licensed medical professional. The agency emphasized that 1W had no reason to suspect any irregularities with medical licenses or procedures at the time, and he cooperated fully with investigators by providing truthful testimony. Broadcaster John Heon Mu was also reportedly questioned in connection with the same case, which remains under active investigation.
SPEAKER_02The K-pop star revealed on August 12th that unauthorized messages were sent from his WhatsApp, threads, and Instagram accounts without his knowledge, with the incidents occurring repeatedly rather than as isolated events. This security incident comes as C1 is already pursuing legal action against ten individuals for malicious posts and defamatory comments targeting his political views, religion, and appearance, with a California federal court recently granting his request to obtain the identities of these anonymous users.
SPEAKER_00The Korean entertainment industry is mourning the loss of acclaimed director Anne Panseok, who passed away on August 12th at age 65 after battling a brain hemorrhage. Director Aan, who joined NBC's drama department as a producer in 1987, leaves behind an impressive legacy of hit dramas including White Tower, Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, and The Art of Negotiation. His final work, The Genie TV drama Love Doctor, starring Chu Young Woo and Kim Soo-yun, had completed filming and editing before his passing and is scheduled to air in October as planned. The family has requested privacy during this difficult time, with funeral arrangements to be held at Seoul National University Hospital. Said your play.
SPEAKER_02With final performances in Tokyo on August 8th and 9th at KO Arena, the group delivered an impressive 28-song set list featuring hits like OO, Phoenix, Run for Roses, and Breaker. With member Bay performing a special cover of Japanese artist Milk's popular song, I Like You Too Much. The tour, which launched in Incheon last November, spanned nine months and included 21 concerts across 17 cities throughout Europe, North America, and Asia. Looking ahead, Anne and Mix will hold their Japanese debut showcases in Tokyo on November 7th and 8th, followed by performances in Nagoya on December 12th and 13th, with their debut album N equals My XX, set for release in December.
SPEAKER_00Our featured song today is Pinata by NCT127, a track from their seventh full album, Blingy. This explosive song blends rock and hip hop with electrifying guitar solos, funky bass lines, and fierce rap chants that capture the raw, passionate energy of youth. Here's a preview.
SPEAKER_02The actress admitted she had only learned about her great-grandfather's collaboration with Japanese authorities after the controversy emerged, discovering through research that while he was Korea's first doctor to obtain a Japanese medical license and served as a court physician, he later joined pro-Japanese organizations like the Daejong Chinmok Association after Korea lost its sovereignty. Ha Young expressed deep regret for casually discussing her family history as a source of pride without understanding the painful historical context, pledging to study Korean history more deeply and honor independence activists through her actions. Netflix has already cancelled interviews for her series This Damn Love, while SBS is carefully monitoring the situation as filming continues for There's a Chance.
SPEAKER_00Stray Kids continues their global domination as their tenth mini album, This and That maintains its number one position on the worldwide iTunes album chart for five consecutive days from August 7th through 11th. The album also topped the European chart for four days and secured first place on both Hunter Chart and Circle Chart daily rankings domestically, while the title track claimed the number one spot on Spotify's top album debut global chart. The music video has already surpassed 50 million views on YouTube in just three days since its release, demonstrating the group's massive international appeal. Building on this momentum, Stray Kids will release a remixed digital single titled This and That That Remixes on August 12th at 1 p.m., offering fans fresh interpretations of their latest hit.
SPEAKER_02The seven-member group, which includes leader Jo Hei Jin from Street Girls Fighter, and the Didandara winner, Shin Hei Won, who previously debuted with kids' group Rich Girl, and survival show contestants Yu and Acararia, has been introducing themselves through an animated web series featuring cute characters representing each member. The group divided into two units, side A and side B for pre-debu activities, performing the same song Hungry, with contrasting styles, side A showcasing hip and powerful charisma, while side B delivered bright and energetic vibes. This creative approach, which mirrors their animated storyline of characters coming together to fight evil, allows fans to experience each member's individual charm while understanding the group's whip-hop genre concept that combines the freedom of whipped cream with hip-hop performance and seven distinct personalities.
SPEAKER_00The single includes three tracks, the title song Iconic Heart, which expresses the thrilling emotions of reaching for bigger dreams, along with Lemon Tang and a Japanese version of Rude. The group will kick off their Japanese promotional activities with a debut commemoration live and talk event, followed by appearances at the Wangan Festival and special performances at professional baseball games between the Saitama Sebu Lions and Oryx Buffaloes. Additionally, Hearts to Hearts is scheduled to attend the 2026 Team Awards in Hong Kong on August 22nd, expanding their presence across Asia.
