Legendary jazz composer and arranger Maria Schneider is bringing her 19-piece orchestra to Seoul for her first ever Korean performance on July 31st at Lotta Concert Hall. The seven-time Grammy Award winner, who studied under jazz giants Gil Evans and Bob Bruckmeyer, has built a reputation for creating what critics call three-dimensional soundscapes that paint vivid imagery through music. Schneider made headlines in the industry not just for her artistic achievements, but also for challenging traditional music distribution systems by founding the crowdfunding platform Artist Share in 2004, allowing her to connect directly with fans. Most of her music catalog remains unavailable on streaming platforms, requiring fans to purchase directly through Artist Share or her official website. The concert will feature original orchestra members who have performed her compositions for over 20 years, bringing her philosophical explorations of nature, environment, and humanity to Korean audiences.

BTS, member V's self-composed track Into the Sun, made an unexpected appearance on French President Emmanuel Macron's official social media during the G7 summit in Evian. The acoustic soul pop rock song, which V wrote and composed for BTS's fifth studio album, was selected as the background music for a video welcoming South Korean President Lee Jamyung to the summit on June 17th. France chose culturally representative songs from each attending nation, with American President Donald Trump's video featuring Tom Petty and Japan's Prime Minister, accompanied by ninja beats. The song's hopeful message and V's distinctive musical style represented Korea on the global diplomatic stage, showcasing K-pop's cultural influence at the highest levels of international relations. BTS is currently connecting with fans worldwide through their Agreang World Tour, which is being conducted on the largest scale ever for a K-pop artist.

Starting with this month's episodes, the group has been featuring information about missing children at the end of each video, with members personally recording voice messages, encouraging viewers to help reunite families. The initiative began after member Shinyu appeared on a broadcast about long-term missing children in April and became determined to find ongoing ways to support affected families. Xinu shared that he realized how crucial public attention is in these cases, and worked with his fellow members to incorporate the campaign into their content in collaboration with the National Center for the Rights of the Child. The group emphasized that even small efforts can make a meaningful difference, promising to continue this important work alongside their entertainment activities as they prepare for their world tour 24-7 for you at Seoul's Olympic Park KSPO Dome on June 27th and 28th.
