Esper members Karina and Winter revealed they once followed strangers who approached them with the classic Do You Know the Way religious recruitment tactic. During an appearance on Naioung Siok PD's YouTube channel, Channel 15 Nights, the duo shocked viewers by admitting they actually went to cafes with these strangers. Winter, who described herself as easily swayed, said the incident happened after her debut when someone accurately guessed she had cold hands and feet, which surprised her enough to follow them. Karina had a similar experience during her trainee days when someone told her she seemed to carry pressure and face constant tests, offering to buy her food while listening to her concerns, though both members fortunately left the cafes after sensing something suspicious.

Zero base one. Member Park Gunwook issued a public apology after admitting to manipulating a fan sign event lottery, acknowledging he called out a different number than the one he actually drew. The controversy erupted when video footage showed Park Gunwook arbitrarily changing the winning number during a Polaroid photo giveaway event, leading to accusations that he favored a specific fan. In his apology posted on the fan communication platform plus chat, Park Gunwook admitted he should have been more careful in his judgment and actions, expressing sincere regret for causing confusion and hurt. The incident has sparked broader criticism as fans unearthed past videos showing him yawning during fan events and kicking safety cones in parking lots, escalating the situation into a wider character controversy beyond the initial fan favoritism allegations.
