SPEAKER_00Today is June 1, 2026, and we've got some incredible stories to share with you.
SPEAKER_01Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_00Girl Group Meov is making a bold comeback with their second EP Bite Now, declaring themselves no longer kittens, but fierce predators ready to pounce. The lead single, D-Row Re, samples Buck's Tocata and Fugue in D minor, combining the classical piece's dramatic organ melody with an eerie, spooky aesthetic that member Ella jokingly said might make Bach himself have no choice but to dance. The quintet, consisting of Suin, Gowan, Anna, Narin, and Ella, showcased their transformation at a press event in Seoul, with Gowan describing the new sound using the initials DRR for different, real, and raw. Producer Teddy encouraged the members to direct each other during recording sessions and to smile freely on stage, helping them connect more authentically with the music in each other throughout.
SPEAKER_01First generation K-pop legends, ClickBee, are reuniting for a complete seven-member concert for the first time in 11 years this August. The group will celebrate their 27-year anniversary with ClickBee Ari Click, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Volume 2, on August 8th and 9th at Blue Square in Seoul. Since their debut in 1999 with hits like Dreaming, Cowboy, and One Young Moon, the members have pursued diverse careers as actors, solo artists, and broadcasters, making this reunion especially meaningful for longtime fans. The concert title Re-Click symbolizes a new starting point, suggesting this may be the beginning of renewed group activities beyond just a nostalgic reunion show.
SPEAKER_0017-member Dino is making K-pop history as the first idol to release a full album under an alter-ego persona called P. Chulin. During a recent Weaver's live session, Dino surprised fans by previewing two unreleased tracks from his upcoming mini-album, Gilboard, set to drop on August 3rd. The alter-ego P. Dino explained that this project allows him to expand his artistic spectrum and take on new challenges while maintaining his identity as a 17 member, reinterpreting various genres through a uniquely Korean emotional lens.
SPEAKER_01Treasure is returning to their roots with a complete hip-hop transformation that's already paying off commercially, as their fourth mini-album, New Wave, surpassed one million pre-orders before its official release on June 1st. The group has constructed their entire track list around hip-hop for the first time since debut, embracing what fans call the Fierce Hip-Hop DNA that YG Entertainment is known for. Member Haruto described the shift as MZYG, blending the label's foundational hip-hop sound with the members' generational sensibilities, joking that fans should prepare milk because this album delivers spicy heat rather than their previous softer approach. The title track If I leads the album alongside tracks like Zoom Zoom and the explosive rap unit song Nanlina, featuring Choi Heo and Silk, Haruto and Yoshi, with the group launching their new wave tour on June 19th at Korea University.
SPEAKER_00Newly debuted group An 2BLE, featuring former Zero Base 1 members Jiang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gubin, Han Yu Jin, and even Zhu Sung-yeon proved they're more than just visuals during their first week of music show promotions. The quintet impressed viewers with stable live vocals, despite powerful choreography, for their debut track Curious, from their first mini-album, Sequence Zero One, Curiosity, Earning Recognition as a skilled performance group. Their debut album has already achieved remarkable commercial success, selling 560,000 copies within three days to reach half million seller status and charting in the top 10 on iTunes in 23 countries. The group will hold their first show concert, Welcome to Curious, at Jamsil Indoor Stadium from June 19th through 21st, cementing their status as experienced rookies rather than typical newcomers.
SPEAKER_01Unlike traditional voting apps, Kiwing combines character nurturing with artist support, allowing fans to raise their own Kiwing character while cheering for their favorite stars. The platform's tagline asks, Who will put my favorite on Guanghuamun? referring to Seoul's highest foot traffic area, suggesting fans can help promote their artists to prominent locations. New users will receive their welcome bonus of 1,000 green Kiwis immediately upon completing registration, with the promotion running from June 1st through June 30th at 1159 p.m.
SPEAKER_00Actress Sheen Hesun is taking on a new challenge as a special prosecutor, hunting down massive evil in the upcoming SBS Mystery Suspense melodrama, Dash. She'll play Min Hua Young, a righteous prosecutor in the Seoul Central District, Prosecutor's Office Special Investigation Unit, who became a prosecutor to uncover secrets surrounding her mother's death. The drama takes a dark turn when her husband becomes a murder suspect just as she's about to begin her investigation, forcing her to fight through brutal reality and interference to reach the truth. Producers praised Sheen as the only actress who can fully express Hua Young's desperate story, promising her overwhelming energy will deliver intense catharsis when the series premieres next year.
SPEAKER_01The group mobilized over 574,000 fans across 25 concerts, generating more than $88 million in revenue between October 2025 and March 2026. They also ranked 9th on the top ticket sales chart and were the only K-pop act to break into the top 30 of the top box score chart at number 18, with their sold-out Hong Kong shows in late February and early March drawing over 73,000 attendees. SPEAKER_00Colony introduces an evolution in Yoon's zombie universe with collective intelligence zombies that communicate and share information, inspired by the ant mill phenomenon, where ants follow each other in circles until they die from exhaustion. In an exclusive interview, director Yoon explained that the film explores the dangers of blind collective thinking in modern society, emphasizing why individual voices and minority opinions must be respected, with characters Guan Se Jung and Gong Siol Hee representing necessary mutations that prevent total extinction.
