SPEAKER_00We're your hosts, bringing you all the hottest updates from the K-pop and K-drama world.
SPEAKER_03Today is May 14th, 2026, and we've got some incredible stories to share with you.
SPEAKER_00Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_03The legal battle between Ador and former New Jeans member Danielle has officially begun with the first court hearing, marked by intense disputes over trial procedures rather than substantive arguments. Adore is seeking 43 billion won in damages from Danielle, her family member, and former Adore CEO Min He-Jin, claiming breach of exclusive contract. Danielle's legal team accused Adore of deliberately delaying proceedings by replacing their entire legal team just before the hearing, calling it a malicious attempt to drag out the case during Danielle's prime years as an idol. Adore denied any intention to obstruct Danielle's entertainment activities, stating it would be contradictory to terminate a contract while simultaneously blocking her career. The court has requested both sides submit written opinions on potentially separating Danielle's case from the others, with the next hearing scheduled for June 11th.
SPEAKER_00Espa is gearing up for an explosive comeback with their pre-release single WDA, Whole Different Animal, hitting music shows starting today with a powerful hip-hop concept. The track features heavy synth bass and impactful hooks paired with choreography that emphasizes hip-hop moves and groove with sleek transcendent styling. The group will perform on MNET's M Countdown today, followed by appearances on KBS Music Bank, MBC Show Music Core, and SBS Inky Gayo through the weekend. Fans can expect the full second studio album, Lemonade, to drop on May 29th at 1 pm with physical albums releasing the same day.
SPEAKER_03Actor and singer Joe Juang Seok is returning to music after one year and nine months with a new digital single titled In a World That Was Nothing Special, I Met You and Everything Was Good, set for release on May 28th. The track marks his first new music since his first full-length album in 2024 and features collaboration with hit-making production team Rokoberry. Joe Jungseok participated in writing the lyrics himself, adding personal authenticity to the warm emotional track. The teaser image shows him sitting in front of a camping car at sunset with a guitar, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere that hints at the song's sentimental tone. That was Picasso by Kras Angel, a track that perfectly captures their fearless artistic direction and individual charm. Now back to more news.
SPEAKER_00Released on May 6th, the album has topped iTunes dance album charts in 12 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and Indonesia. The performance video for Work has surpassed 2.59 million views and entered YouTube's trending music charts with fans demanding live performances of the track. Responding to overwhelming fan requests, Billy began promoting work as a second title track just two weeks after Comeback, showcasing the same styling from the viral performance video and demonstrating their evolution across music, performance, and visuals.
SPEAKER_03BTS has made history by securing a performance slot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show, marking the first time FIFA has introduced halftime entertainment at a World Cup final. The group will perform alongside Madonna and Shakira on July 19th at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey during the North America World Cup final. Coldplay's Chris Martin, who is organizing the show, personally reached out to BTS through a social media video featuring Sesame Street's Elmo to invite them to participate. This groundbreaking performance adds to the tournament's star-studded lineup, with Blackpink's Lisa already confirmed for one of the three opening ceremonies on June 12th at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
SPEAKER_00Netflix is bringing the world of K-pop demon hunters to life with a global concert tour in partnership with American entertainment company AEG Presents. The tour will feature live performances recreating elements from the Blockbuster animated film, which became Netflix's first content to surpass 300 million cumulative views, exceeding even Squid Game Season 1. The film swept major awards, including two Golden Globes at the 83rd ceremony and two Oscars at the 98th Academy Awards, including Best Original Song. The original soundtrack has dominated global music charts, with the song Golden maintaining top positions on Billboard's Hot 100 for 46 consecutive weeks, while specific tour details are expected to be announced in the second half of this year.
SPEAKER_03The tour kicks off September 1st in Dublin, Ireland, before moving through major European cities, including London, Paris, and Cologne, then continuing across North American markets like Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington, DC, Boston, Chicago, and Phoenix. This marks a significant scale-up from their debut solo tour, The Beautiful Chaos, last November and December, which sold out all 16 shows across 13 North American cities. The group will perform new music from their upcoming third EP Wild, set for release in August, and they're currently nominated in three categories at the 2026 American Music Awards, where they'll also perform.
SPEAKER_00Boy Next Door is embarking on their first ever world tour, knock on Volume 2, performing 34 shows across 24 cities worldwide. The tour launches July 17th through 19th at KSPO Dome in Seoul before moving to Busan's Sajik Indoor Gymnasium, then heading to six Japanese cities including Kanagawa, Saga, Osaka, Miyagi, Nageno, and Chiba over a six-week period starting August 21st. The group will make their first North American tour, stops in Dallas, Pompano Beach, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Mexico City, before concluding with Asian dates in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bangkok through January 30th. The announcement comes ahead of their first full-length album Home, an autobiographical record featuring the members' honest stories, scheduled for release on June 8th. Until then, stay tuned to All Things Korean Entertainment, and we'll catch you tomorrow.
