SPEAKER_01Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_00Girl Group Kraaz Angel has officially launched their comeback with their first mini-album titled Picasso. Released at noon on May 12th. The album draws inspiration from the legendary artist Pablo Picasso's free-spirited vision and challenging attitude, reflecting the group's determination to break free from conventional frameworks. All members participated in writing the title track, weaving their individual narratives into the lyrics to enhance the album's emotional depth. The group will kick off their music show promotions on May 13th with an appearance on MBCM's Show Champion, marking the beginning of their official promotional activities.
SPEAKER_01The song's introduction features Lee's 1942 Voice of America broadcast statements saying this is news of life and news of freedom, while lyrics reference communist symbols and include censored phrases that suggest anti-communist messaging. BWH Weiss has previously drawn attention for expressing conservative viewpoints on social media, and audience reactions to this latest release remain divided. The rapper recently announced the closure of his nine-year-old hip-hop label, Deja Vu Group, stating he had come to understand his limitations and was letting go of things he had been obsessed with.
SPEAKER_00BTS member Jimin created a heartwarming moment during the group's Mexico City concert when he noticed a young fan crying in the audience. The idol immediately removed his own cap and handed it to the emotional fan, gently telling her, Don't cry. In a touching display of compassion, the young fan's mother later shared on social media, expressing gratitude and noting that her daughter learned that dreams can become reality through this experience. The video of this tender interaction quickly spread across online communities and social media platforms, with global fans praising Jimin's genuine warmth and thoughtfulness toward his supporters.
SPEAKER_01BTS has successfully wrapped up three sold-out shows in Mexico City as part of their Arirang World Tour, drawing approximately 150,000 fans from May 8th through May 11th. The concerts marked the group's first full-member performances in nearly 11 years, with tickets selling out immediately upon release. Local authorities estimated that an additional 35,000 fans gathered outside the stadium during the final two shows, with the Mexico City Chamber of Commerce projecting an economic impact of approximately$107.5 million from the tour stop.

SPEAKER_01Here's a preview.
SPEAKER_00The artist has unveiled bold concept photos featuring bikini styling against ocean backdrops, showcasing carefree vacation mood with colourful accessories and playful twin tail hair. Originally performed at her March 2023 solo concert, Would You Come, to enthusiastic fan response, the song has been reworked from its original Afrobeats style into a band arrangement that captures both seasonal vibes and live performance energy. The concept photos show Bibi in various beach and poolside settings, radiating her signature hip and free-spirited charm while promising a fun summer-ready release.
SPEAKER_01Starship Entertainment's rookie boy group IDID has confirmed their comeback for May 27th with a new single album titled Fly. The group released a trailer film called Diary that captures the diverse emotions of youth, showing members in various settings from buses to bathtubs, expressing feelings ranging from loneliness to freedom. The mood shifts dramatically when the members come together, filling spaces like tunnels and underpasses with laughter and playful energy, even running through the rain in scenes reminiscent of a coming-of-age film. This marks IDIT's first official activity since celebrating their first anniversary and comes approximately six months after their November digital single Pushback.
SPEAKER_00Singer Tai Yang has revealed the complete track list for his fourth full album, Quintessence, scheduled for release on May 18th at 6 p.m. The title track, Live Fast Die Slow, will be positioned as track two, showcasing Tai Yang's distinctive musical personality. The album features an impressive lineup of collaborations with both domestic and international artists, including featured appearances by Tarzan and Wuchan from the All Day Project, as well as the Kid LaRoy. The black label stated that Tai Yang will demonstrate his musical essence and core identity through this release, promising a unique sonic palette that reflects his artistic vision.
SPEAKER_01Oh my girl. The release holds special significance as Purple Note was actually the name of the band club where Hyojung performed as a vocalist during high school, making this a deeply personal project that revisits her musical origins. Hyojung participated in writing and composing all three tracks on the single, including the title song To My Little Youth, the B-side Look Around, and an instrumental version. This marks her first solo release in approximately one year and five months, following her well-received December 2024 single Christmas Night Train, which showcased her sweet vocal tone and emotional delivery.
SPEAKER_00Rappers Jay Park and Longshot have announced their collaborative mixtape 4 Show Boys Volume 2, 4 Shuville, dropping on May 18th at 6 pm across major music platforms. The eight-track project features the title song Yeah, Yeah, which combines stadium-like chant sounds with synth bass for an addictive, high-energy vibe. The mixtape showcases diverse genres across tracks, including 4SHO, 4SHO, No High No Hey, Run It Up, Gukbong, and Moya, along with remixes of The Purge and Public Enemy featuring DJ Wiegan. According to MoreVision, the duo promises to deliver even more raw and intense energy compared to their previous 4 Show Boys mixtape, demonstrating their chemistry beyond the typical CEO, an artist relationship, as a unified team under the 4 Show Boys family. Until then, stay tuned to all things Korean Entertainment, and we'll catch you tomorrow.
