Blackpink's Lisa is making history as she prepares to perform at the 2026 FIFA North America World Cup opening ceremony. She will take the stage on June 12th at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, alongside global superstars including Katy Perry, Future Tyler and Anita for the United States vs. Paraguay match. This marks only the second time a K-pop artist has been featured in a World Cup opening ceremony lineup following BTS member Jungkuk's performance of Dreamers at the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The tournament is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with separate opening ceremonies planned for each host nation's first match.

Rising Girl group Cat's Eye has been announced as performers at the 52nd American Music Awards, where they'll deliver the broadcast premiere of their new single, Pinky Up. The group has been nominated in three categories, including New Artist of the Year, Best Music Video, and Breakthrough Pop Artist, marking a significant milestone for the international act. The awards ceremony will take place on May 25th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, featuring performances from top artists including Maluma, 21 Pilots, Keith Urban, and Somber. Kat's Eye is set to release their third EP titled Wild in August, continuing their momentum in the global music scene.

The Three Colours. Three trot concert, Prince brought together three of Korea's hottest trot stars for an unforgettable evening at Jamsil Indoor Stadium. Kim Su-Kim Jong-yon, and Min Su-hyun each showcased their distinct styles during individual 30-minute sets before joining forces for special collaborative stages. Kim Su-chan closed the show with unreleased tracks, including the ballad Laura, and a brand new song called Namjada, while Min Su-hyun charmed audiences with his playful cute glasses prints persona. The concert, organized by global fandom platform My One Pick for Family Month, runs for two days and features each artist's signatures blend of traditional trot with modern performance elements.

Rookie group Nise experienced a hilarious and heartwarming initiation into the entertainment world through their appearance on UV's fake documentary series UV Bang. Members Jungi, Turn, and Do Yuk faced relentless etiquette training from senior artists UV and their label mate Lee Suq Hoon, who playfully criticized everything from their greetings to their coughing sounds. The comedy escalated when UV demanded the Thai member Turn learn traditional Korean Boeing customs and even forced the group to modify their debut song People Talk Choreography into a more polite version after objecting to finger-pointing gestures. Despite the chaotic energy, Nees demonstrated impressive variety, show adaptability, and chemistry, with Lee Sukhoon serving as a supportive senior throughout the comedic ordeal.

Infinite's Nambu Hyun celebrated his 10th solo debut anniversary with the heartfelt, self-composed digital single Boy Girl, featuring all Infinite members on the track. The song captures memories from their youth through to the present and future, wrapped in warm, nostalgic sounds that reflect Nambu Hyun's decade-long journey as both an infinite main vocalist and solo artist. This marks a particularly meaningful reunion as it brings together all infinite members for a special collaboration, adding emotional weight to the milestone celebration. Nambu Hyun participated in writing, composing, and arranging the entire track, pouring his sincere feelings into every aspect of the production.

This debut title track is bursting with free-spirited energy and features an addictive hook that repeats We Are Unchild throughout, paired with powerful choreography. Here's a preview. The film The Man Who Lives With the King dominated the 62nd Baik Sang Arts Awards with four major wins, including Grand Prize, Best New Actor, Popularity Award, and Impact Award. Yu Hai Jin received the film Grand Prize for his performance, expressing gratitude to the 17 million moviegoers who brought energy back to theatres and helped audiences rediscover the joy of cinema. Park Ji-hoon swept both the Best New Actor and Popularity Award categories, earning over 1 million votes in the NAVA poll and thanking director Jiang Hangjun for believing in him throughout the production. The ceremony also featured a touching tribute to late artists, including An Sung Ki, Lee Sun Jai, Yoon Suck Hua, and John Yousung, with performances by director Lee Byung-wu and actor Yu Yun-seok honoring their legacies.

Boy Group 9 is launching their first ever Asian tour titled 2026 9 First Tour, The First Spark, visiting eight cities across the region. The tour kicks off with two shows in Seoul on May 30th and 31st, before heading to Osaka on June 25th and Tokyo on June 27th. Additional stops include Kuala Lumpur on July 4th, Manila on July 25th and 26th, Taipei on August 2nd, Bangkok on August 8th, and Hong Kong on August 15th. The tour title symbolizes how a small spark can expand into a massive light, representing Nine's determination to leave a powerful impression on fans worldwide.

Group even opened up about their journey from survival show contestants to an official group in an exclusive interview, revealing how they've transformed past pain into creative fuel. Their new single, Back Talk, features brutally honest self-diss lyrics addressing their audition, eliminations, and debut struggles, with lines like I was a loser who got eliminated and Haters Can't Stop Us. All five members contributed to the production, creating PowerPoint presentations with ideas for genre, concept, and performance, while member Park Jihu recorded guide vocals seven times to find the perfect direction. The group emphasized their identity as self-producing artists, with plans to expand into composing as they continue building their unique musical colour beyond the project group label.

BTS continues their impressive chart longevity on the UK official charts with their fifth full album, Are Rang, holding at number 20 on the official album's top 100 for seven consecutive weeks. The title track Swim maintained its position at number 49 on the official single's top 100, marking seven straight weeks in the top 50 since its release. Catsai also made their presence felt with two songs charting simultaneously, as Pinky Up landed at number 47 and Touch entered at number 98. The Netflix series K-Pop Demon Hunters, original soundtrack track Golden, continues its remarkable run at number 39, maintaining chart presence for an impressive 46 weeks.
