The star-studded cast, including Huang Jongmin, Zhou Insung, Jong Hoyon, Michael Fassbender, and Alicia Vikander, will walk the red carpet alongside director Na before the screening. Hope marks a significant milestone as the first Korean film invited to Canada's competition section in approximately four years, where it will compete for the Palme d'Or against acclaimed directors from Japan and Iran. The film, which tells the story of a demilitarized zone outpost chief who encounters reports of a tiger sighting, is scheduled for a domestic release this summer.
SPEAKER_01K-pop Group. Woods faced controversy and issued an apology after their agency EDAM Entertainment confirmed that unpaid volunteers were recruited for their world tour concert in Frankfurt, Germany. The job posting on a German employment site sought trilingual candidates fluent in Korean, German, and English, with K-pop concert experience and lighting and sound knowledge, but offered only concert viewing privileges instead of wages. The agency acknowledged they failed to thoroughly review the local concert organizers' hiring practices and promised to work with the promoter to implement necessary corrective measures. Woods is currently in the middle of their Archive One World Tour, with upcoming shows in Berlin on June 7th and Frankfurt on June 12th.

Hong Jung not only produced the film's music, but also lent his vocals to the ending track Nothing Left, which captures the fundamental discomfort explored in the movie. In a touching family connection, Hong Jung's older brother Bum Jung stars as the lead character in the film, making this project even more meaningful for the IT's member.

When Lee refused to sign the document, the city abruptly cancelled the venue rental just two days before the performance, citing safety concerns and potential physical conflicts. Lee's legal team called the Ruling Meaningful for recognizing damages to third parties in the contractual relationship and announced plans to appeal to hold Mayor Kim personally accountable.
