SPEAKER_02Hexo's DO, known by his real name Dookyung Soo, has achieved an unexpected milestone as his song Popcorn becomes the new spring anthem of 2026. Released in 2024, the track is experiencing a remarkable resurgence, climbing to number 14 on Melon's Top 100, number 11 on Genie Music, and number 3 on Bugs Charts while surpassing 30 million streams on Spotify. Industry observers note that Popcorn is challenging the long-standing dominance of Busker Busker's Cherry Blossom Ending and B.T. Easi's Spring Day as the definitive seasonal song. In a recent fan poll conducted by global fandom platform UPIC for spring song rankings, Du Kyung Su's Popcorn claimed the top spot, defeating both established spring classics and signaling a generational shift in Korea's seasonal music landscape.
SPEAKER_00BTS continues to dominate both charts and local economies during their North America Aurre Rang World Tour. The group received the Estimado Amigo Special Award from El Paso County in Texas, which also declared May 2nd and 3rd as El Paso BTS Weekend in honor of their upcoming concerts. Tourism officials estimate the two-day concert series will generate approximately$75 million in economic impact for the region, equivalent to about 110.5 billion Korean won. Meanwhile, BTS achieved new certifications in France and Japan, with their album A Ray Rung earning platinum status from the French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing just one month after release, and their 2018 Japanese track Let Go reaching platinum certification after surpassing 100 million streams, marking their 17th platinum certification in Japan.

The tour launches July 11 in Incheon, South Korea, before moving through Japan and hitting major American cities, including Los Angeles, Seattle, San Jose, Phoenix, Fort Worth, Orlando, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Newark. Most notably, the group will perform their first ever solo concerts in Europe, visiting London, Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, and Berlin in October, before concluding with Asian dates in Taipei, Singapore, and Manila in November. The tour follows their successful debut world tour, Easy Crazy Hot, which ranks eighth on Box Score's Top Ten Highest Grossing K-pop tours of 2025 and achieved the best results among K-pop girl groups, with a new tour promising enhanced stage production centered around the concept of cracks or rifts.
SPEAKER_00That was Celebration by Lei Seraphim. Such an exciting track that's capturing hearts worldwide with its rising chart success. Now back to more news.

SPEAKER_00The show originated from last year's MBC Entertainment Awards, when Youseiun won the grand prize and jokingly called the other nominees Losers, inspiring producer Kim Young Yao to create this unique format. With a combined career spanning nearly 100 years, these 1.5 tier entertainers will tackle challenging mounting courses, including the never before attempted Bekmudong route to Chiangwong Peak in Jirisan. The pilot series of five episodes premes May 3rd at 6 p.m. and must achieve a 2049 viewership rating of 2% to secure regular programming, competing directly against SBS's Running Man, featuring Yangsei Yung's younger brother Yang Sei Chan.
SPEAKER_02IOI is reuniting with producer Jin Young for their 10th anniversary, a Comeback, marking an emotional full circle moment for the group. Jin Young produced the pre-release track Goodbye with a Smile, which will drop on May 4th and features the members' original vocals recorded back in 2016, preserved as an archive track. The song's title carries special meaning, as A Greeting We Sent in Advance 10 Years Ago, promising to deliver deep nostalgia to fans. Jin Young previously worked with IOI on their survival show track In the Same Place in 2016, as well as their debut albums When the Cherry Blossoms Fade and second mini-albums Hold On, making this collaboration a meaningful reunion as the nine members prepare to release their third mini-album, I O I Loop, on May 19th and hold concerts at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium from May 29th to 31st.
