SPEAKER_01Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_00Tomorrow Buy Together has achieved a major milestone with their eighth mini album, Seventh Year, when the Wind Stops in the Thorns, debuting at number three on the Billboard 200 chart. The album sold 69,000 album units in its first week, including 67,000 physical copies, marking their 13th entry on the prestigious chart. Notably, TXT now sits alongside their label mates, BTS, on the chart, with BTS's A Ray Rung holding the number four position, making it a historic moment for big hit music, as both groups occupy the top five simultaneously. The comeback represents TXT's first release since their contract renewal and has already earned them a grand slam on Korean music shows with five trophies for their title track, Stick With You.
SPEAKER_01BTS member Jung Cook has directly addressed the sound issues that occurred during the group's recent performance in Tampa, Florida, as part of their Ah Ray Rang world tour. Taking to social media, Jung Cook apologized to fans who attended the show, confirming that there were indeed audio problems during Magic Shop that affected his pitch. He expressed his frustration with the situation, stating, I'm angry too, and promised that the sound would be properly managed for upcoming performances. Meanwhile, BTS's fifth full-length album, Aurerang, continues its impressive chart run, maintaining its position in the top five of the Billboard 200 for five consecutive weeks at number four.
SPEAKER_00Singer Songar Ian has demonstrated her generous spirit by donating the entire proceeds from her first ever personal bazaar event. The event which featured items from Songar In's personal collection, including interior lighting, accessories, hats, and even meaningful memorabilia like her Inchon International Airport, honorary gatekeeper commemorative items, raised 11,370,000 won. Song Ga impersonally organized the event over several days, pricing items on the spot and interacting warmly with fans who came from as far as Hong Kong. The singer expressed pride in being able to help others and hinted that if the response remains positive, she plans to hold second and third, bizarre events in the future, with all proceeds continuing to benefit underprivileged communities.
SPEAKER_01Major entertainment companies, including SM Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, and Source Music, are now holding auditions for trainees born as recently as 2015 and 2016, with some idols debuting as young as 12 or 13 years old. Industry experts point to several factors driving this trend, including the desire to maximize an idol's active career period, the increasing length of training required for global activities, and the competitive race among agencies to secure talented prospects early. However, the trend has sparked serious debates about child welfare, mental health, and the risk of exploitation, with critics pointing to the cancellation of MBN's under-15 program amid child commodification controversies as evidence of the need for stronger protections.
SPEAKER_00Nexa has made their highly anticipated comeback after two years with their second single album, Mukchk, a uniquely coined term meaning a sign of presence that represents the group's overflowing charm and energy. Members Tomoya, Hui and Yuki participated in writing the lyrics for both tracks, with a creative process involving dictionary consultations to ensure proper Korean usage, given the group's composition of six Japanese members and one Korean member. The Septet will embark on an extensive promotional tour, including showcases in Taipei, Hong Kong, and Bangkok, their first arena tour in Japan, and a performance in Brazil in September.
SPEAKER_01Teu Rs has returned with their fifth mini-album No Tragedy, reimagining the classic Romeo and Juliet story with a happy ending as they pursue a bold romance with their fictional muse Juliet, represented by the number 42. The album showcases the group's expanded musical spectrum across six tracks, including the title song I'll Follow You, which blends RB with house sounds and groovy bass lines, featuring lyrics co-written by Member Dohun about approaching someone you're drawn to without hesitation. This marks the group's first comeback since all members became adults, with the album achieving pre-order sales of 1,160,000 copies as of April 24th, nearly double their previous record. Member Johun emphasized that while their previous work showed them being swept up by emotions, this album represents a more mature stage of understanding and accepting love, with choreography that balances energetic moments with refined restraint.
SPEAKER_00New Jeans is preparing for their highly anticipated comeback, with Agency Adore confirming that members are currently working according to their individual conditions and optimized schedules. The group was recently spotted in Copenhagen, Denmark, which Adore explained was part of pre-production work to capture new musical narratives for their upcoming projects, though they declined to confirm specific details about a new album. Speculation intensified after a recording studio in Copenhagen was found to have a reservation under Adore's name, and the agency broke a six-month social media silence by posting a birthday message for member Hyane on April 21st. Currently, members Herin, Hyane, and Honey have returned to Ador, while Mingie's status remains undecided.

The title track Suddenly is a synth pop genre song with deepening sounds in the latter half, with lyrics co-written by Jon So Mi that authentically express the bittersweet emotions of an unexpected reunion. Other members also contributed significantly, with Yu Yoon Jung writing If I about unwavering relationships, Chunga adding ballad sensibilities with Then Us Now, and Jin Young producing the final track Goodbye with a smile to evoke the group's fresh 2016 sensibilities. Director Kim Sung-hoon revealed that Park Bo Young underwent significant physical transformation for her role as customs officer Kim Hee Ju, losing weight in filming with minimal makeup to portray a character consumed by greed after accidentally obtaining one ton of gold bars worth 150 billion won. Lee Kuang Su created a striking visual transformation for his role as Park, a ruthless organization executive personally suggesting ideas like facial scars, gold accessories, and tattoos to represent the character's obsession with gold and difficult past.
