Pop star Katie Perry is facing renewed allegations of sexual misconduct from model Josh Kloss, who appeared in her 2010 Teenage Dream music video. Kloss claims that at a stylist's birthday party in 2012, Perry pulled down his pants in front of friends, exposing him without consent and leaving him feeling humiliated and traumatized. The allegations resurfaced after Australian actress Ruby Rose recently accused Perry of inappropriate behavior at a Melbourne club nearly 20 years ago, claiming the singer inappropriately touched her when Rose was in her early twenties. Perry's representatives have strongly denied both allegations, calling them false and noting that Rose has a history of making serious accusations against multiple individuals on social media.

Korean rapper Minoy has released a diss track targeting fellow rapper Wu Wan Jay, her former rumoured romantic interest, in a video titled MP4, Second and Last Time I Hope. The track contains explicit criticisms, including references to personal hygiene and accusations about how Wu Wan Jay allegedly pursued her, with Minoy even adding a toilet flushing sound effect at the end of the video. The two artists previously sparked dating rumors in 2022 after appearing together on the web content series Yori Jori, season 3, where their chemistry caught viewers' attention. Both artists were formally signed to the hip-hop label AOMG, though Minoy has since established her own one-person agency called C-O-F-M-E.

K-pop Sensation Zero Base 1 has unveiled a sophisticated new trailer film titled A Film that showcases the group's artistic evolution through a sensory experience. The video features members Soung Hambin, Kim Ji-wong, Sok Matthew, Kim Tai Rie, and Park Gungwok, each representing one of the five senses sight, touch, hearing, taste, and smell, respectively. The cinematic production uses refined monochrome visuals and precise mise en scene to create mounting tension as fragmented sounds build throughout the piece. The trailer concludes with the five separate modules connecting into a unified space, symbolizing how individual senses combine organically, before pulling back to reveal the building's exterior and the Zero Base 1 logo, signaling the beginning of a new chapter for the group.

The escaped wolf, Nuke Goo, from Dejeon's O World Zoo has sparked an unexpected celebrity animal phenomenon, joining the ranks of beloved animals like Panda Fu Bao and Monkey Punch in Capturing the Nation's heart. After returning safely following a 10-day adventure outside the zoo, Nookgoo's feeding videos have exploded in popularity, with one raw meat-eating video reaching 1.5 million views on O World's Instagram, compared to their typical 10,000 view average. Online communities have formed a devoted Nook Goo Mom fandom, demanding better living conditions and care for the wolf, with fans creating tracking maps during the search and even inspiring the creation of a meme cryptocurrency. Dijon City officials are now considering adding Nook Goo as a new character to the city's official mascot family, Gumzi family, though the zoo faces administrative penalties for safety management violations and an uncertain reopening timeline.

Kpop has officially transcended entertainment to become a legitimate academic discipline at the world's most prestigious universities, marking a dramatic shift from its underground roots. Oxford University's newly established Korean Studies Center, set to open in October, will focus on researching the sustainability of the Korean wave and contributing to its creative ecosystem, with K-pop performances now drawing the largest crowds at university events. San Diego State University made history in 2023 as the first American university to offer K-pop dance theory as a regular course, taught by Professor Oju Yeon, a modern dance graduate from OHA Women's University. The class, which treats K-pop dance as an independent genre like hip-hop, consistently sells out its 80 student capacity with long wait lists, while Professor O has published academic guides on K-pop dance education for global distribution. Until then, stay tuned to all things Korean Entertainment, and we'll catch you tomorrow.
