SPEAKER_01We're your hosts bringing you all the hottest updates from the K-pop and K-drama world.
SPEAKER_00Today is April 5th, 2026, and we've got some incredible stories to share with you.
SPEAKER_01Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_00The rock band XDNary Heroes is building anticipation for their eighth mini album, Dead End, with striking new teaser images. Members Gunil and Jungsu showcase their charisma in bold photos featuring smoky makeup and silver accessories against vibrant backgrounds. The group previously released unique teaser content called Voyage Log Map, which traced the members' journey through symbolic timelines and locations representing their origin, journey, and future. The album drops on April 17th with the title track Voyager, and all seven tracks feature credits from every member demonstrating their musical prowess and creative involvement.
SPEAKER_01Rising Boyband Courtis is proving their the next big thing from big hit music, with their second mini album Green Green, surpassing 1.22 million pre-orders in just one week. This represents triple the first week's sales of their debut album, which itself became a steady seller, reaching 2 million cumulative copies over six months. The album has also garnered over 600,000 pre-saves on Spotify, signalling strong global interest ahead of its May 4th release. COURTIS, a five-member group following in the footsteps of BTS and Tomorrow Buy Together, emphasizes their identity as a young creator crew, with all members participating in album planning and production.
SPEAKER_005050 made K-pop history by becoming the first Korean act to officially cover legendary rock band Pink Floyd, performing Wish You Were Here as part of the album's 50th anniversary tribute project. The cover video released last month has already surpassed two million views on YouTube, earning praise from middle-aged male reviewers across English-speaking countries who typically have little connection to K-pop. This unexpected collaboration came about through a shared musical taste between the agency's CEO and member Moon Chanel, who grew up listening to Pink Floyd in the United States.
SPEAKER_01Such a touching and emotional track that really highlights their versatility. Now back to more news.
SPEAKER_00The album includes direct references to Big Bang's mega hit Lies, with lyrics stating, I'm so sorry, but I loved, I'm leaving Big Bang, making his separation from the group crystal clear. Despite the definitive break, fellow Big Bang members, G Dragon and Tai Yang showed their support by sharing the album on social media, with G Dragon notably posting at 819. A reference to Big Bang's August 19th debut date, the track Top York, which translates to self-crucifixion, has sparked debate among listeners, with some praising it as an artistic transformation of past controversies, while others criticize it as excessive self-consciousness. Though fan excitement remains high as Big Bang prepares to perform at Coachella on April 12th and 19th for their 20th anniversary.
SPEAKER_01P1 Harmony successfully wrapped up their second fan meeting in Japan, titled Dancing Queen, after a two-year hiatus from Japanese fan events. The group performed at Pacifico Yokohama on April 4th, holding two sessions that felt like mini concerts, with performances of hits including their latest title track, Unique, and songs like Duh and Pretty Boy. Members Theo and Soul delivered a special stage covering Japanese artist, Yuri's Galileo Loves, while the event also featured interactive segments, including games and fan message readings. Following their recent comeback with mini album Unique, which achieved half million first week sales and peaked at number four on the Billboard 200, P1 Harmony will continue their momentum with appearances at K-Kon Japan in May, Weavescon Festival in June, and K-Kon LA in August.
SPEAKER_00The trio continues to maintain the close bond they formed during their time in Gugudan. The girl group, which debuted in 2016 and officially disbanded in 2020, was known for hits like Wonderland and Not That Type. And fans are delighted to see the members enduring loyalty to one another despite pursuing different paths. Thanks for tuning in to get your daily dose of Korean entertainment news.
