Janabi's vocalist Choi Jung hoon brought some April Fool's Day humor to his fans with a playful social media post featuring himself appearing to levitate during meditation. The singer shared two photos comparing his levitation skills from last winter to the present day, joking that he's having trouble floating properly due to too many distracting thoughts. He humorously asked fellow meditation practitioners for tips on improving his technique, writing that the recent photo shows him hovering with a noticeably heavier feeling. Akdong musicians Lee Chan Hayok responded with genuine surprise, asking if it was real, while fans flooded the comments with playful reactions, with one declaring him the winner of this year's April Fool's Day competition.

The album made a powerful debut at number 2 in mid-January, achieving the group's highest ever Billboard 200 ranking, and has maintained its presence on the chart ever since. Beyond the main album chart, the release is performing strongly across multiple Billboard categories, holding steady at number two on the world albums chart and climbing to number nine on the top album sales chart. With this sustained success, NHYPEN has also secured a spot at number 89 on the Artist 100 chart. Swim also reached number two on the weekly digital single ranking, while the full album secured third place on both the weekly album ranking and weekly combined album ranking. Meanwhile, BTS released a music video teaser for their album track 2.0 that pays homage to director Park Chan Wuck's iconic film, Old Boy, featuring RM in styling, reminiscent of the movie's protagonist, as he emerges from an elevator in a gritty corridor setting, with the full video promising to showcase the group's confident new chapter with hip hop and trap influences.

Cats Eye is gearing up for another major release as the Global Girl Group announces their new single Pinky Up dropping April 9th at noon Eastern time, just days before their highly anticipated Coachella Valley music and arts festival performance on April 11th. The track represents an expansion of the musical world Kat's Eye has been building, promising to deliver confident and upbeat energy that pushes pop music in fresh directions. The group has been riding high on recent success with their previous singles Gabriella, Internet Girl, and Nali, all charting on the Billboard Hot 100 at peak positions of 21, 29, and 82 respectively. This marks their return since releasing their third mini album, Beatboxer, last October, which showcased powerful rhythms and energetic performances. The April comeback puts Next E Z in competitive company, joining fellow boy groups TURDZY, Cortis, Close Your Eyes, Kickflip, and NCT Weash in what's shaping up to be a packed month for new releases. Looking ahead to September, the group will also perform at the opening stage of Brazil's Rock in Rio Festival, scheduled for September 4th through 7th and 11th through 13th in Rio de Janeiro.

The Jung from WJSN is keeping her solo momentum going strong with a surprise pre-release of her new track, What's a Girl to Do, exclusively on TikTok at 6 p.m. on April 1st, ahead of the official release. The song explores the complex emotions and thoughts that come with developing feelings for someone, capturing relatable romantic dilemmas through powerful choreography that features signature moves like grabbing a hood and stomping forcefully. This follows the success of her debut solo single Gonna Love Me Right, released last September, which saw its title track Body acclaim first place on domestic music shows and topped various chart rankings. The track also earned international recognition, landing on prestigious best K-pop of 2025 lists from major outlets, including the UK's NME, Billboard, and the Hollywood Reporter, and Daeyung is set to perform at Waterbomb Soul 2026 on July 26th at Kintech's Global Stage in Ilsan.

Tae Yang from Big Bang is preparing for his solo comeback after three years with a new album titled Quintessence, a name he personally chose to represent the essence and core of what this era means to him. The artist shared a cryptic message on social media explaining that while he can't claim to have found the perfect definition of quintessence, the journey of searching for it became the very process of creating the album. He emphasized that this essence already exists within himself and within his fans, describing it as the most important yet invisible element that he hopes everyone will discover for themselves. Taeyang's last solo release was his second EP Down to Earth in April 2023, and he's been staying active with his Zero One fan meeting tour across six Japanese cities last year, while also preparing for Big Bang's upcoming headlining performance at Coachella Festival on April 12th.
