Netflix's animated film, K-pop Demon Hunters, made history at the 98th Academy Awards, claiming both Best Animated Feature Film Best Original Song for Golden. Director Maggie Kong emotionally dedicated the wins to Korea and Koreans everywhere, apologizing that it took so long to see representation like this in film. The song Golden, performed at the ceremony by EJAE, Audrey Noona, and Ray Ami with traditional Korean elements, including Pansori and Dancers in Hambok, became the first K-pop track to win an Oscar. However, the acceptance speech for Best Original Song was controversially cut short by music, with co-writers including EJAE, Teddy Park, and producers from IDO barely able to thank their supporters before being ushered off stage.

BTS is transforming Seoul into a citywide festival to celebrate their comeback with new album A Ray Rang, launching BTS the City, A Ray Rang Soul, from March 20th through April 19th. The festivities kick off on album release day with media facades at Sungyamun Gate and Ensol Tower, plus a drone light show over the Han River at Tuxium Park. Major locations including Guanghuaman Plaza, Dong Daemon Design Plaza, and Bampo Bridge will host music light shows, while experiential programs like Stamp Rallies and a Love Song Lounge at Yuido Han River Park invite fans to explore the city. The project will expand to major cities worldwide following the soul launch, marking a massive global celebration of the group's return.

Rising Girl Group Eilid announced their comeback for April 30th with their new album titled Mami Hlapinata Pai, a word from the Yagan language of South America that holds the Guinness record as the world's most succinct word. The complex term describes the look shared between two people when both want something to happen, but neither wants to initiate it, reflecting subtle and profound emotions. The title track, It's Me will lead the 10-track album, showcasing the group's evolved musical identity just months after their successful debut.

The band Catch the Young is set to showcase their evolved youth pop-rock sound at their solo concert Live Evolve on March 29th at Musinza Garage in Seoul. The show marks their first solo concert since releasing their debut full-length album Evolve in January, featuring live performances of all new tracks, including title song Amplify. The concert will include solo stages from each member, unreleased performances, and special guest appearances from musicians, including vocalist Saga Sommel, drummer Kim Unchan, bassist Choi Chi Young, guitarist Lee Yoon Sio, and keyboardist O DeJun. Having proven their live prowess at major festivals, including Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, for two consecutive years, the band is ready to deliver an intimate, high-energy performance for their growing fan base.

Three-year veteran Psychers have established themselves as performance masters, scoring a mega hit last October with Superpower from their sixth mini-album, Wrecking the House. They join the previously announced first lineup of ITs, N-Team, and Hearts to Hearts for what promises to be a spectacular showcase of K-pop talent.

Five-member band, V01D, successfully completed their debut week of music show appearances, making strong impressions with their first mini-album, Zero One, and title track Tug of War. The rookie group, consisting of drummer Song Yu Chan, vocalist Joe Juyan, guitarist and vocalist Jong Jay Seop, keyboardist and vocalist Kevin Park, and bassist Shinosuke, appeared on all major weekend music programs from March 12th through 15th. Their performances showcased exceptional instrumental skills and vocal prowess that exceeded expectations for a debut act, with the melodic yet raw rock energy of Tug of War building to explosive emotional crescendos. Leader Song Yu Chan expressed gratitude for the support and promised to continue delivering music that fills emotional voids and creates meaningful narratives for listeners.

Shiny Zonyu achieved a career-high milestone with his fifth mini album, Tough Love, selling over 111,000 copies in its first week, according to HanterChart. The album holds special significance, as Onyu participated in songwriting for the first time in his career while penning lyrics for all tracks, showcasing his growth as a producer beyond his role as performer. Tough Love topped iTunes. Top albums charts in nine countries, including Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Indonesia, and Japan. While the title track claimed number one on Bugs' Top 100 chart, ONU will meet global fans through his Tough Love Asia fan meeting tour, starting April 3rd in Taipei and continuing through Osaka in late April and Tokyo in mid-May.

The trio, now consisting of vocalist Brighton, violinist and keyboardist OM, and drummer Logan, unveiled a moody music video teaser featuring OM's melancholic piano performance and Brighton's haunting vocals in an empty concert hall. This marks the group's first release since restructuring, promising to showcase their deepened musical identity and strengthen capabilities. Claudium previously captivated critics and global fans with their unique musical world, and this comeback signals a new chapter in their artistic journey.

Actor Aan Hyo Siop walked the red carpet at the 98th Academy Awards, attending his first Oscars as Netflix's kept K-pop demon hunters earned nominations in two categories. British MTV and Netflix both highlighted his arrival, with Netflix posting that fans of character Jinwoo should wake up as An Hyo Siop had arrived at Oscars 2026. The actor who voiced the character Jinwoo in the record-breaking animated film appeared in a black tuxedo at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Following the ceremony, Aan Hyo Siop will return to Korean screens next month in the SBS drama Sold Out Again Today.
