SPEAKER_00We're your hosts bringing you all the hottest updates from the K-pop and K-drama world.
SPEAKER_02Today is March 11, 2026, and we've got some incredible stories to share with you.
SPEAKER_00Let's dive right in.
SPEAKER_02A major ticketing scandal has rocked the Korean entertainment industry after police arrested 16 members of an organized scalping ring that generated approximately 7.1 billion won in illegal sales. The group used macro programs to mass purchase tickets for popular concerts, including performances by singer Lim Young-Wong and various K-pop idol groups, then resold them at dramatically inflated prices. Tickets originally priced at 200,000 won were typically sold for three to four times their value, with some reaching as high as 5 million won, 25 times the original price. Police have registered the development leader who fled overseas with Interpol and are expanding their investigation to include international resale networks while sharing their findings with major ticketing platforms to strengthen security measures.
SPEAKER_00BTS continues to dominate global music charts with an overwhelming lead in Billboard Hot 100 entries among K-pop groups, having placed 27 songs on the prestigious chart. This achievement is more than double that of second place Blackpink, who have 11 entries, while stray kids and new jeans tie for third place with five songs each. In the solo artist category, BTS members occupy the top positions, with J-Hope leading with 9 entries, Junk Cook following with 7, including his number one hit 7, and Jimin and V each contributing 6 songs. The statistics highlight BTS's unprecedented impact on the global music scene as they prepare for their complete group comeback on March 20th with their fifth full album, A Re-Rang.
SPEAKER_02Shinies Taemin has signed an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation, joining an impressive roster that includes G Dragon, Kim Jong Kook, and actor Song Kang Ho. The entertainment tech company promised to provide full support to help Tayman's artistic capabilities synergize with their cutting-edge technology. Taemin, who debuted with Shiny in 2008 and has built a successful solo career since 2014, recently completed a successful world tour spanning 20 countries. He is set to make history as the first male K-pop solo artist to perform at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, with appearances scheduled for May 1st and 18th.
SPEAKER_00Choiena is making her comeback after an eight-month hiatus with her fifth mini-album, Love Catcher, showcasing a more mature approach to romance while maintaining her signature energetic charm. The album features five tracks, including the title song Catch Catch, an electropop track with addictive synth loops, and collaborations with Din Din, Jun Hyung Don, Yun Machi, and Paul Kim. Yenna personally participated in Guide Recording and was deeply involved in the album's creation from start to finish, incorporating second-generation retro sensibilities inspired by groups like Tiara and Orange Caramel. The artist who celebrates her eighth debut anniversary this year expressed hope that the upbeat Catch Catch could become a baseball stadium cheer song, especially as South Korea recently advanced to the World Baseball Classic quarterfinals.
SPEAKER_02Here's a preview. The group assured fans that N Hypen will continue as a team, with future activities to be determined through member discussions, and promised to work harder to ease fans' concerns and create happiness for their supporters.
SPEAKER_00Actor Li Ji Ryong appeared at Gangnam Police Station for questioning four days after his drunk driving accident, arriving an hour early for his scheduled 2 p.m. investigation. The 62-year-old actor, dressed in a black suit, apologized profusely for causing concern with his wrongful actions and stated he answered all questions truthfully and would faithfully follow legal procedures. Li admitted to the drunk driving charges, which he had initially denied during his first investigation, but later acknowledged through his lawyer, confessing to drinking four shots of Soju. Regarding the hit and run allegations after crashing into a central divider and damaging over 10 meters of guardrail near Chongdam Station, Li claimed he was unaware of the accident, though he was apprehended at a friend's house approximately three hours later with a blood alcohol level at the licensed suspension threshold.
